A Birthday Tea Party

Allie's four!!! As sad as I am to see my kids get older, I love birthdays. Allie wanted a "tea pot" party this year. So we dug in, invited all her friends, decorated cupcakes, played duck-duck-birthday goose, dressed up, baked and had a great time. The kids all looked so cute, but Allie's little friend Jackson won best dressed. He came in a dapper suit, hair slicked back and wearing calogne. NICE!

Allie is beyond precious! She is outgoing, polite, loving, smart, demanding, in charge, a "singer", a "reader", friendly and adorable. We love all her girliness filling our house. We are total buds these days. She loves hanging out with mommy. And I couldn't be happier about that. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLIE GIRL!

I caught me a BOBCAT!!

That's right, the world of scouting has opened up to us since Spencer turned 8. And it is definatley a whole new world! Spencer absolutely loves it and has already earned his "Bobcat". Now he's a full-fledged Wolf. Go Scouts!

Josh is always good for a laugh!

Joshua is just always full of joy and laughter and naugtiness and ALWAYS gives us a good story to tell......

The other night, I'm tucking Josh into bed and we're talking and reading and singing, etc. I start telling him how much I love him and how lucky I am to be his mommy. I then tell him that I am the LUCKIEST mommy because God sent me Joshua and all the mommies wanted Josh, but i got him! I told him that mommy and daddy prayed every night for a long time to PLEASE give us Josh. So he says, "Mommy -- ALL the mommies wanted me"? I say, "Yep! ALL the mommies". Josh says, "They all asked Heavenly Father for me"? I said, "yea. Because you were the coolest and sweetest and cutest and bravest and most fun"! He said, "really mommy"? I said, "Absolutely". Then he sits there and thinks about it for a minute then says, "Even the Spanish and China mommies wanted me"? After laughing for a good minute, I said, "Yes Joshua, even the Spanish and China mommies"!!! Man he's fun!!!

Oh yea... it was fun!

What a fun night. So, I grew up having Academy Awards parties. My mom made us dress up as a favorite movie character, we'd eat, place bets, have a great time. I've renewed the tradition. We had a blast last night. I made everyone walk the red carpet, come in costume (well done by the way) and we played Oscar bingo. A few of the squares.... "Marisa Tomei's character called 'BRAVE', dead person montage ends on Paul Newman, and someone yells out "Yes we can"!!! Congrats to cousin Kelly and Jeff for getting BINGO!!

Costume winner of the night has to go to my cute hubby (for his bravery). He dressed up as Yule Brenner from "The King and I". However, if you didn't look fast, you missed it. He only stayed in it about 10 min. Not that I can blame him! We had a few Juno and Bleeker's, I was ToTo to Allie's Dorthy, Indiana Jones, Danny Zuko, "Angelina Jolie" (cousin Jani with a backpack full of kids), the cast of "Coreline" and just a few that showed up looking quite "dapper" in old bridesmaids dresses and tuxes. Again, well done all!
So, until next year......

A fun weekend

We had a great weekend with Gregg's sister, Kerry and her kids coming in town. A little snowboarding/skiing, playing, movies and going through the Draper temple openhouse. It is such a beautiful temple. We had a great time and miss the Langstons!!

Did I mention that I can't resist an adorable three year old?

I'm in love! Allie's started taking a "dance" class (I use the word dance lightly). Let's just say... she's adorable!!

I just can't resist an adorable three year old!!

I love a three year old. There is no cuter age, in my opinion. And Allie is my last three year old. She will be four in just about a month. It makes me so sad to think I'll never have another 3 year old running around my house (not sad enough to have another baby)... but you get it. So I thought I'd "document" her adorableness. She sings.... ALL THE TIME. Her new fav is the soundtrack to Mamma Mia. She is always dressed up in something "princesssesy" and she carries around stuffed dogs everywhere she goes. She loves school and playing with friends. I just adore this little three year old girl!!!!! How do I stop my kids from growing up??? Please, tell me!
